Laminate Repair Kit Box

SeamFil Kits are designed to provide users with the necessary tools to create their own custom SeamFil color matches to make successful laminate repairs. Kits provide 11 tubes of popular SeamFil colors, Retarder, a ½ pint of SF-99 Solvent, a Putty Knife and a Mixing Guide. SeamFil is a user friendly product that allows for various colors to be easily blended together, giving the user control of the final color match. SeamFil has been sold in this format, as a kit box, for over 60 years and it remains a popular product because of the flexibility it gives users.

SeamFil has been used to repair small nicks and gouges (1/4” in diameter or smaller) in laminate surfaces commonly found in kitchens and bathrooms since the 1950’s. It is the “original” laminate repair product. SeamFil is also designed to be used to fill seams between sheets of laminate, as its name implies.

SeamFil quickly and easily fixes damaged areas or fills seams found on laminate surfaces. This product dries fast and is easy to clean up using SF-99 solvent, which is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with SeamFil. Retarder may be used to slow the curing process, thus giving the user more time to mix colors and create the perfect color match. SeamFil laminate repair bonds to the substrate of

laminate and dries hard, becoming a permanent part of the laminate surface. SeamFil resists moisture, detergents, and other household products in a similar manner to the original laminate. Common applications for this product include filling standard joints, cracks and chips on laminate countertops and furniture where the laminate’s substrate is visible. When properly used, SeamFil laminate repair will hide damages for many years.

SeamFil color matching guides are available for the major laminate manufacturers — Formica, Wilsonart, Nevamar and Pionite.
