Backsplashes

Find the perfect color matched acrylic latex caulk to seal and set backsplashes in your home or commercial building. Kampel’s color matching program for ColorFlex & ColorFlex II can provide exact color matches to laminate, marble, granite, quartz, solid surface, wallpaper, paint and more. Standard colors and custom color matching is available with ColorFlex & ColorFlex II along with flexible purchasing quantities.

Kampel’s color matched caulks are used to seal and set backsplashes. When a backsplash is being sealed most customers use ColorFlex which is a versatile acrylic latex caulk with a matte finish. If a user is mounting/setting a backsplash, ColorFlex II is recommended because of its strong and durable adhesive qualities. For those applications which will endure regular and heavy water exposure KamSil 100% Silicone will be the best option because of its water resistance.

ColorFlex and ColorFlex II can be custom matched to your laminate countertop helping to blend the joint between the countertop and backsplash, creating a more seamless look. Kampel’s color team has decades of experience when it comes to matching their products to your needs.

Caulking a laminate backsplash means to apply a bead of caulk between a backsplash and another surface such as a countertop or wall. This is a generally easy process that can be successfully completed by a first-timer with a little bit of guidance (see our videos).

Setting an older style laminate backsplash means to permanently affix a backsplash to another surface. Laminate backsplashes are most commonly mounted or “set” on countertops, but may also be bonded to painted walls. Note that this is different than setting backsplash tile which requires a wall tile adhesive and is a different process.
